Tryon Medical Partners Celebrates Waxhaw Opening and New Community Partnership with Downtown Waxhaw
Downtown Waxhaw Association is excited to welcome Tryon Medical Partners to Waxhaw and celebrate a new community partnership focused on building a healthy, connected, and thriving community.
Tryon Medical Partners leadership and team members, local elected officials, Downtown Waxhaw Association representatives, and other community partners recently gathered for a ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of Tryon Medical Partners Waxhaw, the practice’s first location in Union County. Located at 1621 South Providence Road, Suite 370, the new 4,800-square-foot office brings personalized primary care closer to home for Waxhaw-area residents.
The Waxhaw office offers internal medicine services led by Luis Bendezu, MD, FACP, alongside Sydney Foley, FNP-C. Both are currently welcoming new patients.
The celebration also marked the beginning of a new partnership between Tryon Medical Partners and the Downtown Waxhaw Association. As part of its commitment to the Waxhaw community, Tryon generously contributed $2,500 to support DWA's work.
For the DWA, this partnership represents an opportunity to think about community wellness in a broader way.
A strong community is built through healthy people, thriving local businesses, meaningful connections, and places that encourage people to come together. Through this new partnership, the DWA and Tryon look forward to finding creative ways to connect health and wellness with the people, businesses, and experiences that make Waxhaw special.
From opportunities to get outside and explore downtown to resources that support our small business community, we are excited to build this partnership with a shared focus on a stronger and healthier Waxhaw.
Tryon Medical Partners President Dr. Robert Brownlee shared during the opening that the new location reflects the practice’s desire to bring care closer to its patients throughout the region. Tryon’s approach emphasizes personalized care and strong relationships between patients and their care teams.
Lindsay Muns, CEO of Tryon Management Group, which manages the business operations of Tryon Medical Partners, also spoke about the organization's vision for its new Union County presence and the opportunity for continued growth in our community. Tryon sees primary care as the beginning of what it hopes to bring to Union County as it expands access to care closer to home.
Union County Commissioner Errol Wedra also recognized the important role healthcare professionals play within the community during the ribbon cutting:
