Waxhaw to Unveil Downtown Master Plan & Celebrate Main Street Milestones — Aug. 12
The Town of Waxhaw and the Downtown Waxhaw Association (DWA) invite you to join us for a special evening celebrating the heart of our community.
On Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Waxhaw Town Hall (4218 Waxhaw-Marvin Road), we’ll share highlights from a year of momentum in downtown investment and unveil the draft of our Downtown Master Plan—a vision to guide the next decade of growth and opportunity.

2025 IMPACT AT-A-GLANCE
As a proud member of the Main Street America™ program, Waxhaw tracks and reports downtown investment data each year to NC Main Street and the National Main Street Center. This year’s preliminary numbers tell an inspiring story:
$1.3 million in private investment in our historic downtown
Six new businesses opened
Nearly 1,000 volunteer hours dedicated to public art, beautification, and board service
“These numbers reflect the incredible dedication of our community,” said Ashley Nowell, Waxhaw’s Business Development Director. “We’re proud of the progress we’ve made together—and excited to share our vision for the future of downtown Waxhaw.”
LOOKING AHEAD: THE DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN
During the Aug. 12 presentation, we’ll also introduce the Downtown Master Plan, developed in partnership with the Boudreaux Group. This plan outlines thoughtful strategies for keeping our downtown welcoming, resilient, and full of possibility over the next five to ten years.
We believe in shaping this future together, so the conversation doesn’t stop there.
The next morning, Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 8:30 a.m., join us at Middle James Brewing Co. (115 East North Main Street) for an informal public input session. This is your chance to review the draft plan, ask questions, and share your thoughts before the plan is finalized in September.
Your ideas and feedback are an important part of this process. Let’s work together to keep Downtown Waxhaw the place we all love to call home.
