Every October, downtown transforms into a spook-tacular celebration where local businesses open their doors to thousands of trick-or-treaters. From candy and costumes to crafts and contests, this family-favorite event brings the whole community together for some frightfully good fun.
WHAT’S HAPPENING
Trick-or-Treating (4–6 PM)
Visit participating downtown businesses for candy, smiles, and plenty of spooky surprises.
Business Decorating Contest
Our downtown businesses go all-out — vote online Oct. 25–31 for your favorite spooky storefront! The winner will be crowned Pumpkin King on Nov. 3.Costume Contest (4–6 PM)
Head to Staci Howell State Farm Insurance (113 E. North Main St.) near the pedestrian bridge. Categories for kids, families, and grown-up ghouls — show off your creativity for a chance to win!Crafts & Games (4–7 PM)

When the candy runs out and the moon rises, the stories begin. Join us for Waxhaw After Dark: Haunted History Tour, a chilling guided walk through downtown’s haunted past. Four tour times are available, and tickets are disappearing fast!
