Fright Night Is Almost Here! Saturday, October 25

From pumpkin painting and Halloween crafts to spooky photo ops, sweet deals, and surprise Mombie flash mobs — Downtown Waxhaw is packed with family fun this Fright Night.

Come early, stay late, and soak up the Halloween magic!

Every October, downtown transforms into a spook-tacular celebration where local businesses open their doors to thousands of trick-or-treaters. From candy and costumes to crafts and contests, this family-favorite event brings the whole community together for some frightfully good fun.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

  • Trick-or-Treating (4–6 PM)
    Visit participating downtown businesses for candy, smiles, and plenty of spooky surprises.

  • Business Decorating Contest
    Our downtown businesses go all-out — vote online Oct. 25–31 for your favorite spooky storefront! The winner will be crowned Pumpkin King on Nov. 3.

  • Costume Contest (4–6 PM)
    Head to Staci Howell State Farm Insurance (113 E. North Main St.) near the pedestrian bridge. Categories for kids, families, and grown-up ghouls — show off your creativity for a chance to win!

  • Crafts & Games (4–7 PM)
    The Waxhaw Woman’s Club (200 E. South Main St.) will host free crafts, games, and festive fun for all ages (while supplies last).

  • Pumpkin Painting (4–6 PM)
    Stop by Waxhaw Taphouse (110 McDonald St.) to paint your own mini masterpiece.

  • Photo Opportunities
    Snap a spooky selfie at The Bean & Belle or Cork & Ale — perfect for those Halloween memories.

  • Downtown Deals & Specials
    Enjoy frightfully fun specials and themed drinks from your favorite shops and restaurants.

  • The Waxhaw Mombies Return!
    Don’t miss this fun-loving group of moms performing their annual Halloween flash-mob dances throughout downtown after trick-or-treating.

HAUNTED HISTORY TOUR

When the candy runs out and the moon rises, the stories begin. Join us for Waxhaw After Dark: Haunted History Tour, a chilling guided walk through downtown’s haunted past. Four tour times are available, and tickets are disappearing fast!
