Join players from across the region for the Second Annual Memorial Pop Top Checkers Tournament in historic Downtown Waxhaw. This multi-day event welcomes both seasoned competitors and curious newcomers for a weekend of strategy, connection, and community.

Kick things off on Thursday with a free Friends & Family Checkers Day, open to all ages and skill levels. Tournament play takes place Friday and Saturday, featuring a full schedule of competitive matches and a closing awards ceremony.

Whether you’re participating or stopping by to watch, it’s a unique opportunity to experience a classic game in a welcoming, historic setting.

Event Highlights:

• Thursday: Friends & Family Open Play (free)

• Friday–Saturday: Tournament play begins at 9:00 a.m.

• Awards and closing ceremony on Saturday
