Join the Museum of the Waxhaws' on Saturday, June 21 at 4pm to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Listen & Remember with a Listen & Remember: Remembered Tribute Show!
From 1965 to 2006, Waxhaw, NC, was home to Listen & Remember, a beloved outdoor play about the Waxhaws Colonial Settlement's formation by Scots-Irish immigrants. Written by Dare Steele with music by Elinor Niven McLaughlin, it depicted early settlers' experiences and the birthplace of Andrew Jackson.
For over 40 years, local actors performed this community-driven production, creating deep connections with the material and audience. Listen and Remember became a cherished tradition, celebrating shared history and building community bonds.

Special guest Larry Sprinkle will be narrating the show, bringing the story to life on their outdoor stage.
TICKETS:
Tickets are $35 and include the show, exhibition, reception, refreshments, beer, and wine.
Each purchaser receives a commemorative program and ticket stub.
